The beginning of this month saw us partner with Pickering parish council. Together we worked to install a selection of sheep sculptures on the Eastgate roundabout, Pickering.
The town of Pickering has a long and very rich history, spanning back to 270bc. From the beginning of it's creation, Pickering has thrived as a rich market town. Cattle farmers would travel far and wide to trade their livestock on the old cattle markets located on what is now the Eastgate carpark and Smiddy hill.
The decision for this installation plays a crucial role in the North Yorkshire moors, with Pickering and its rich history in livestock being the symbolic gate to the moors.
